On the Bookery Steps

Our community hosts its First Friday events with a variety of themes and activities to draw people to downtown Carlisle and to show community unity and promote community pride.
The Friends participate in the First Fridays by opening the Bookery with special hours. Often we give out discount coupons to passersby to be used in the Bookery.
Recently, we have offered outdoor book readings by volunteers on the steps on the Bookery. This casual event is fun for all ages and audiences (weather permitting).
